This unprecedented event was born in 2009 with Wine Future Rioja, as a response to the global economic recession to which the international wine industry was no exception.
Chrand Events has brought together the most relevant minds in the international wine industry to analyze the challenges facing the industry, offering ideas, solutions and inspiration for wine professionals.
Since then, Wine Future has been held in Hong Kong, Spain, and Portugal, as well as a completely online edition due to the pandemic.
Wine Future has had more than 300 speakers, including: Robert Parker, Jancis Robinson, Michel Rolland, Francis Ford Coppola, Miguel Torres, Tim Atkin, James Suckling, Laura Catena, Angelo Gaia, Adrian Bridge, Gerard Bertrand and many others important names in the sector.
To address critical issues of sustainability, climate crisis, biodiversity, wine tourism, regenerative viticulture, carbon reduction, water resources, energy efficiency and truly green business opportunities, Chrand Events has created Green Wine Future as the culmination of its Climate Change and Wine initiative .
In 2006, we at Chrand Events pioneered the first international conference on climate change and wine, and the first event to examine the impacts of the climate crisis on any industry.
Since that edition in Spain, Chrand Events has organized many other international conferences in Hong Kong, Portugal and other parts of the world with the most influential names in the wine industry and such visionary world leaders as US President Barack Obama, Nobel Prize winner Al Gore, and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, among many others.
